MPH, with a small set up in 1971 from the city of sports and passion , BARCELONA - ESPAÑA, entered in the vast international market of motorbike leather garment. The quality entrepreneurship and visionary leadership soon gave ‘ MPH’ a distinctive name in the top quality manufacturers of the industry. After earning a good reputation in the protective garments industry, it came in the fabric garments, again the result was success that quality products brought, through gaining the customer satisfaction and trust.

  LEATHER DEPARTMENT
 

Leather department is divided into four sub departments on functions basis;

• Tannery (leather manufacturing unit)
• Leather Cutting Department
• Leather Stitching Department
• Leather Garments Quality Control Department

MPH set up its own Tannery in 1980 , to manufacture different types of high quality leather used in garments, gloves and boots. The tannery has been meeting its objective successfully since its establishment. Tannery involves in the processes from Wet Blue to finish leather. It is fully equipped with modern machinery like sammying, setting out, shaving, buffing, staking, toggle ,hydraulic press (embossing), finiflex, spray unit etc. which are operated by the skilled workers. All the processes are supervised and checked at every stage by the competent and qualified leather technicians.

After having been finished, leather is tested in our Quality Control and Testing Laboratory for its quality required in the final product (garments, gloves, boots) going to be made. Leather is, then, send to the leather store.

Leather Cutting department makes selection of the leather from leather store on the base of its quality, colour, appearance, thickness and other physical properties required by the customer. Leather is cut by skilled workers according to the ‘cutting pattern’ provided by the Design and Pattern Department. The cut patterns are numbered in a special order and traced according to ‘preparation patterns’ and then bundled to deliver to stitching department.

Leather Stitching department have been equipped with 200 modern automatic stitching machines operated and experienced stitchers. The leather patterns are stitched according to the instructions and/or the approved samples by the customer. Stitchers are dedicatedly engaged to apply their expertise and fine craftsmanship during stitching to meet the expectations of valued customer. Highly veteran supervisors are always there to keenly watch the process to check and control the quality required during stitching.

After stitching the garments are sent to the button section where buttons are attached with automatic machines.

Though every garment is checked at every stage of its manufacturing and get it corrected if some defect is observed, but for the final thorough checking, the garments are sent to the ‘Leather Garments Final Quality Control Departments’. Overhere, each and every thing including size, design, leather and other material, stitching, labels, logos, zips, buttons, embroidery etc are checked in detail by the expert checkers according to the standards approved by the customer. After having been inspected, the passed lot is forwarded with the ‘inspection report’ to the packing department

   
  FABRIC DEPARTMENT
 

MPH biggest manufacturing department regarding production capacity, established in 1996 .

On the basis of functions, it is divided into three sub-departments.

• Fabric Cutting Department
• Fabric Stitching Department
• Fabric Garments Checking Department

Fabric cutting department is highly mechanized as the patterns are cut by very precise cutting machines according to the tracings made by automatic computerized plotter, that is fed by all the master patterns used in a specific garment. It not only saves the time and gives accuracy but also provides maximum cutting value (average) per unit area.
The required quantity of required fabric (cordura, taslan, taffeta, nylon, reissa, flees, pv, pd, micro etc) is taken from the fabric store, then it is checked and after ensuring its quality, it is sent for the cutting process. The cut patterns are assigned special numbers and then bundled for the convenience of stitching department.

Fabric stitching department has been provided with more than 400 modern stitching machines. Skilled workers with their trained helpers remain busy to contribute the best of their expertise in making the final product. Along with stitching, in-process checking is carried out to control any deviation from the given specifications. Stitched products are then Baltaged to support the stitching on the parts where it likely to be opened up during use. Then sealing operation is done through automatic sealing machine to seal the stitch seams and to make the garment water-proof. Afterward, buttons are fixed by automatic machines.

Fabric garments quality control department consists of a team of technical experts who check thoroughly every garment as per standards given by the customer or the sample approved by him. Defects if found are get corrected and checked again. After inspection, the passed garments are sent to the packing department with relevant inspection report.

   
  GLOVES DEPARTMENT
 

One of the Oldest department of MPH, that have the most experienced technical hands to mould the customers requirements into the desired product, gloves.
Function vise, it breaks up into 3 sub departments.

• Gloves Cutting Department
• Gloves Stitching Department
• Gloves Quality Control Department

Gloves cutting department gets the material issued from the store. As the gloves are made in fabric and also in different types of leather i.e. sheep, goat, cow calf etc of different varieties, so selection of material is done very carefully. Then patterns are cut through bladed dives that are made as per master patterns of that particular Glove, provided by the ‘ Design and Pattern Department’.

Gloves stitching department receives the cut patterns and other material to be stitched and becomes engaged in rendering the expertise in form of fine craftsmanship. Modern stitching machines help the experienced stitchers imparting the beauty of their skill to the gloves. There are 150 stitching machines available in this department to fulfill the customer’s production requirement, regarding quality and on time delivery. Like in other departments, in-process checking is carried out overhere as well, to check and control the size, fitting and the other quality aspects of the stitching.

Having considerable product knowledge and relevant training, the technical personnel of Gloves quality control department remain busy all the working day to examine the gloves according to the customer provided specifications and/or approved samples. Each hand of every pair is inspected comprehensively to make sure that it is of promised quality glove and then the lot is forwarded to the packing hall with the ‘inspection


BOOT DEPARTMENT

This department established in 1999, and since then it has been effectively satisfying the customers by serving them with the quality boots they demand.

It has six main sections according to the nature of work.

• Designing & Grading Section
• Cutting & Skiving Section
• Fitting & Stitching Section
• Lasting & Sole Attaching Section
• Finishing Section
• Quality Control Section

Boots are manufactured according to the designs provided by the customers and also innovative designs developed by the qualified and competent Shoe Designers. After design approval, pattern grading for different boot sizes as required, is done on the automatic grading machine.
Then as per these graded patterns, selected leather is cut by the skilled cutting men. Skiving is the next process to thinning the edges of cut patterns (border) to the thickness as required for a particular design and/or fitting and stitching process.

Fitting is carried out by sticking the patterns (of upper part of boot) to one another with the binding solution, in a way as to be stitched. In stitching department , trained snitchers sew the bonded (fitted) patterns of leather on special shoe stitching machines considering the given instructions, under the strict supervision of concerned supervisor.

Lasting is done by putting the (stitched) upper part on the ‘last’ to give the boot a specific shape. Then molded sole is attached to the upper part. These operations require high handiness and experience , that the technical hands of this section do have, to carry out these processes quite satisfactorily.

Finishing is done by cleaning and finishing the boots with appropriate colour mixture of imported finishing chemicals, to improve the neatness and appearance.

After having been passed through the in-process checking at every stage, final checking is performed by the technical personnel of Quality control department to ensure the right design, fitting, stitching and other features as required by the customers.
